DYNAFAC

CIRAD, the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development, is a public institution for agricultural research and international cooperation for the sustainable development of tropical and Mediterranean regions.

Together with its partners, it jointly creates new knowledge and solutions to invent resilient agricultural models in a more sustainable and inclusive world.

It mobilises science, innovation and training to achieve sustainable development goals. It puts its expertise at the service of public policy to promote biodiversity protection, agroecological transitions, sustainable food systems, health (plants, animals and ecosystems), and the sustainable development of rural territories and their resilience to climate change.

The "Forests and societies" research unit is a multidisciplinary team that is particularly involved in the DYNAFAC collective. Its main goal is to conserve, enhance and restore rainforests by establishing and promoting sustainable resource management practices for the benefit of rural people and society in general.
