The PPECF's goal is twofold, on the one hand, to prevent the loss of certificates in already certified companies and on the other, to support third-party certification processes (i.e. verified by annual audits), particularly through the recognition of private certificates as provided for in Item 3.3 of the Official Journal of the European Union (L92/177) providing for the issue of FLEGT licenses to FSC® certified companies, without the need for double checks of legality.
It also supports companies in their ongoing efforts to meet the FSC® standard's new requirements.
